Whilst a hand is gripping her around the neck showing actions of her being pulled into the earth and dragged under. This gives connotations of her trying to escape somewhere; perhaps hell as hell is often portrayed to us as being underground.
The colour scheme has cold damp colours which gives off a feeling of fear in this picture, along with very cold emotions which the audience will feel from the overall colour. Along with the image of the girl being pulled under this can give her a sense of being trapped. Along with the colour scheme the font is bold with quirky corners on each letter which gives it a mysterious look, which again goes along with the fact it’s a horror film. The font is also eye catching as its white text against a dark background which really stands out and is also easy for people to read in a short amount of time, which is good if this poster is on a billboard.
