Location - The Party Scene

This is the location which we've chosen to shoot the party scene of the short film. These Scenes will be shot on Friday 27th November. This location will be used to create an ideal atmosphere for a house party, the filming will be on going during an actual party so people whom aren't in the script will be used as background party goers.

The inside of the house is an ideal location as there are small enclosed rooms, this is perfect as we're trying to create a seemingly cramped atmosphere for the party, this will be further enhanced with the use of diegetic sound. As the rooms are enclosed from one another this is perfect as each room has its individual light source meaning lighting wont be an issue here.

Inception - Film Poster Review

First initial impressions from this film poster is the red bold text "Inception". The red text suggests great power or fear, in some cases it can also refer to love and passion, the fact it's in bold text reinforces the thoughts which are orientated around this colour even more. Inception suggests the beginning of something new or a new organisation of some sort. Leonardo Dicaprio's name is written clearly along the top of the poster standing out from all the other cast members, the producers of this film clearly want the audience of this poster to see Leonardo Dicaprio's name initially as he's the most famous cast member. This is used as a good selling point for the film.

In the background we can see the road they're standing on bends upwards and so do the buildings alongside it. This gives the image somewhat of a mind altering aspects to this film as these sort of physics are clearly unrealistic, this can also give the audience and understanding that all is not settled and

The poster shows 6 people standing cautiously with them all holding some sort of weapon and this shows they're looking at something possibly scary and daunting to them. The main colour in the poster is blue, this is often associated with depth and stability. This partially links in with the film as there is many layers of depth within it, and stability is something which it looks as though they are creating amongst them selves standing together almost like a defensive shield.

This is our first film poster, so we could amend it if we feel as though they're needed. We've used a still from the footage which shows the main character Matt who's taken an ecstasy pill at his friends house party. This shot we've used shows two groups of people either side of him drinking and in a normal state of mind. We've used this shot as it shows our main character when the ecstasy initially hit's him, he's shown to be slightly uneasy and not sure what to expect and experiencing slight nausea.

The text we've used in the background is a neutral colour partnered with a smooth and causal font.
